§8-17-89. Notification; duty of importer.

  • (a) It shall be the duty of each person selling in or for importation into the state any petroleum product to notify the Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries in writing by mail or otherwise on the day of shipment or other delivery for transportation, or within 24 hours thereafter, of such sale and shipment or delivery.

    (b) Such notice shall briefly describe the particular petroleum product and the number of gallons thereof and shall state the name and address of the person to which such products are sold, shipped or delivered.

    (c) The provisions of this section shall not apply to any person who is operating under a permit from the Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries.
