Article1. General Provisions. |
§11-44-5. Proposition submitted to voters; form and marking of ballots.

At such election the proposition to be submitted shall be "Shall the proposition to organize the City (or Town) of _____ under the commission form of government as provided by Title 11, Chapter 44, Article 1 of the Code of Alabama 1975, be adopted?" The following shall be the form of the ballot, which words shall be printed in plain prominent type on separate ballots:
"Shall the proposition to organize the City (or Town) of _____ under the commission form of government as provided by Title 11, Chapter 44, Article 1 of the Code of Alabama 1975, be adopted? Yes _____ No _____."
The voter shall mark his ballot with a cross mark (X) before or after the word which expresses his choice. No other proposition shall be submitted to the voters of said city or town upon this ballot.
